Randy Gunter

Senior Pastor

Randy has served as MeadowBrook’s Senior Pastor since January 2001. He loves studying and proclaiming God’s Word with a focus on expositional teaching, and his heart is to keep MeadowBrook centered on connecting, growing, serving, and glorifying God. Randy earned a bachelor’s degree in religion with a minor in human development and family studies from Samford University and went on to complete a Master of Divinity degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Randy and his wife, Kay, were married in June 1986 and cherish life with their three sons and daughters-in-law, two grandsons, and a soon-to-arrive granddaughter. They have traveled widely and often lead MeadowBrook groups on trips near and far. Whether visiting biblical lands or serving on international mission fields, they have enjoyed forming eternal friendships in Christ.

In addition to his ministry at MeadowBrook, Randy serves on Samford University’s Board of Trustees and the Alabama State Board of Missions, and he invests in local pastors as a mentor and friend. Away from ministry, he enjoys life outdoors—whether on a tractor, fishing in the pond, or tending the small farm he and Kay are developing.
